Day 7: The Greenville Zoo and On the Border! :)

Today we went to the Greenville Zoo! But before we could leave, we HAD to clean out my car as things were beginning to compost in the backseat. To keep the kids occupied, we let Adam play in the front seat. :) (By the way, this is going to be a long post so feel free to skim if you want)
Here we are!
Caleb's so excited about seeing an elephant up close!
Lemurs!
Adam got into it too!Adam certainly charmed the resident cottonmouth...they would look at each other through the glass!Adam and Caleb looking at the turtlesCaleb loved seeing the snakes, especially this HUGE boa.Beautiful toucanTrying to get a good picture of two toddlers should be considered an Olympic event! Adam wanted to have NO part in this picture!Watching these lazy lions lay in the sun made me sleepy...My three sweet boys!I loved this water fountain of a lion's mouth!A HUGE tortoise came to say hi to Adam!Did you know that giraffes can be up to 19 feet tall??It was so sweet to see Eric try to make sure Adam got to see everything! This is an actual handprint of an orangutan...I had Caleb put his hand up there to see the comparison!
This orangutan was in deep thought about something...
Caleb discovered a fascination for leapords! He said he loved them because they acted just like a kitty! :)
Adam was determined to walk by himself most of the time. We brought a stroller for when he got tired of walking, but he only used it 5% of the time.A black monkey came to greet us and posed like this long enough for me to snap a picture! Here's Caleb imitating the calls of the monkeys!Adam loved petting this goat.Beautiful black swan
Caleb loved snorting along side this pigBeautiful white ducks
This squirrel was stealing all the food from the other farm animals! After the zoo, we went to On the Border (one of our favorite restaurants).
We got this queso for free with an online coupon!
Adam LOVED the salsa!
And here is Caleb with his new leopard he got at the zoo to commemorate his new favorite animal!
All in all, a good time was had by all and we can't wait to go back!

Lots going on in the Greenville zoo, we used to love to go there when we lived there. All of you looked as though you were having a great time.

Better hit the hay, it is getting late..
    Love all...Nana Shirley
