Day 1: Orientation Day!

Today was Caleb's preschool orientation day at Arden Presbyterian Preschool. He is going to go three days a week (M-W-F) but actually starts tomorrow so they can get an extra day (as most holidays fall on either Mondays or Fridays and cause them to miss school). He gets to have Ms. Gossett as his teacher this year! He loved getting to know her in Lunch Bunch last year. She is an extremely sweet lady. Caleb only has one other boy that he knew from last year in his class, so when I asked him how he felt about that, he replied, "I just get to make NEW friends, Mommy!" He has been dying to go back to preschool since they let out in May, so I'm glad it has finally started back up! Here he is with Ms. Gossett!
After orientation, what better thing to do but eat lunch? :) We met my mom (Grandma) who had been watching Adam while I went to orientation at Acropolis and had probably the best gyro platter around (and that is amazing to say as I've always considered Apollo Flame by Biltmore to have the best gyros). Adam's keeping busy playing with items from my purse.
Adam demolished his spaghetti and meatballs (except he didn't like the meatballs..weird, huh?). I totally forgot the bib today so I will be doing laundry tonight! :)
After lunch, the boys and I came back here and I let them play on their playground. Here's Caleb pushing Adam on the swing (Adam giggles like crazy when he does it!).
And then, my sweet Caleb loves these orange marigolds and picked one for me!
Yes, he's wearing a tie. He always does on days that are special! :)
We are heading to Lake Julian for a Sunday School teachers picnic tonight at 5:30pm so I may get more pictures then. The kids are now sleeping peacefully. Caleb had his four year old check up on Monday and was declared in good health. We decided to get his kindergarten shots a year early so he wouldn't have to get them next year. He got four shots in his thighs and didn't even cry! I was so proud of him! :)
