Just a cute picture

Today was a great day- had a "half" pajama day (until I decided taht I NEEDED a shower and then took the boys to Sams to walk around). We started on one side of the store and made our way around the samples. Our Sams always puts out a ton of samples and today was no exception. We sampled chicken with Montreal seasoning, jalapeno poppers, Activia yogurt, chicken fried rice, lasagna, gourmet macaroni and cheese, and navel oranges. I snapped a quick picture on my cell phone of Caleb feeding Adam some of the yummy yogurt. So sweet!!

I love how Caleb has his mouth open as he is feeding Adam (just like I do!). I also thought it was humorous that more than one person stopped and asked if they were twins (??) just because of their similar sweatshirts. I know Adam is a big guy, but TWINS??

Adam turns ONE!!

Well, believe it or not, Adam is turning one tomorrow (February 23rd)! We had a small family gathering up here on Sunday (and will celebrating with Eric's family this upcoming weekend in Beaufort). I chose to keep it simple and just have cake and ice cream. I thought I'd post some pictures and videos from that day!

Here is the adorable clown cake that Mom made for the birthday boy.
While waiting for us to sing Happy Birthday, he played with an ice cream scoop.
Mr. Blue Eyes!
Happy birthday Adam!
Here is a three part video series of us singing to Adam and then him eating the cake. If you remember from Caleb's 1 year old birthday party, Caleb kinda poked at the icing and....that was it.

I know this picture is over exposed, but it was too cute not to post!
Yum, yum!
Here's Adam "organizing" Mom's cabinet!
Cutie pie looking out the window!
Here's Caleb, attempting to help his little brother walk!
I'm sure he's thinking, "BOY, this guy is HEAVY!"
Monday was President's Day, and while Caleb had preschool (to make up for a missed day due to snow), Eric was off of work (yay for bankers!), so he accompanied me to Adam's 1 year checkup. Here is Adam weighing in at 25 pounds 12 ounces!!
We then ate at Apollo Flame Bistro and enjoyed a tasty lunch! I had the Big Fat Greek Platter and Eric had the Chicken Francesca. Adam enjoyed both!!

After waddling from the restaurant, we decided that it might be a good idea to walk off some of our lunch at Lake Julian. Adam enjoyed the little stroll in his stroller!
He and Daddy were having a conversation. :)
Hey guys!
They were making each other laugh!
It has been a great week already! We are certainly LOVING the beautiful weather!

Fun birthday party!

Caleb's preschool friend, Thomas, turned four today and invited a bunch of kids from his class. The theme of the party is "Superheroes" and each kid was asked to dress up as his/her favorite superhero. Caleb went as Superman. Here are some shots of the party that I was honored to accompany him to while Daddy stayed home with Adam.

The beautiful house where the party was held!
Here's Caleb with the birthday boy who is dressed as Wolverine (for now...he changed costumes twice while I was there!)
Caleb playing in the sandbox.

They had a wonderful lady who was doing facepainting for the kids. Caleb sat so still while she painted on his cheeks!
She's done! What a great smile!
"Hey Zeb! Check out my cool facepainting!!"
What Superheroes do on their days off #1: Drive a tractor.
Caleb's lovely preschool friend, Paige, who wanted her face painted as Iron Man. Cute!
The pinata they had before it got clobbered.
Thomas' parents, our wonderful hosts!
I had problems keeping up with Caleb as at least two other boys had similar looking costumes on.
What Superheroes do on their days off #2: Fill the car up with gasoline.
Caleb getting ready to do the "Pin the Spiderweb onto the Villian" game- not quite sure about the whole blindfold thing, but was a great sport about it!
Here is a video of Caleb's turn! He did well!

A group shot before the pinata party!
Caleb's turn!

Once the candy busted out of the pinata, all the kids clamored to grab some...except Caleb who grabbed one Hershey kiss and asked the hostess nicely if he could please eat it.
Then, it was time for cupcakes (made from scratch by Thomas' great grandmother)
and ice cream! Here's Thomas blowing out his candles!
Caleb and I sat on a blanket and ate our cupcakes together! Such sweet memories!
Then, it was time for a ride on a trailer pulled by a Rhino. See me and Caleb midway back? Caleb's raising his hand!
Sometimes, Superheroes get chilly too.
Caleb is just beaming with excitement and happiness throughout the whole ride!
Before we left, Caleb got to try out jumping on a HUGE trampoline and he loved it!!

All in all, it was a great party! Hope you enjoyed the pictures!

A Day at the Park

The boys and I went to Kate's Park in Fletcher, NC, on Wednesday since it was so warm. These pictures are too numerous to place in exact order, but I wanted to at least post them so friends and family can see our two beautiful boys.

Baby blues...

Caleb liked pretending he was an airplane while swinging!
He also quickly made friends with a group of kiddos who were digging for buried treasure in the sand.

Adam did some walking, although the sand being uneven territory made it difficult at times.

I know it looks like I took WAY more pictures of Adam than Caleb, but Caleb was just more mobile and harder to catch being "still". But, something is better than nothing, right?
