Day 24: Saturday- a Baby Shower and a Sams Run

Today was a wonderful day! Mom and I hosted a baby shower for my cousin, Amanda, who is due October 27th with her sweet baby boy (or "lil' man" as they call him). Mom and I decided it would be fun to do a tea in the morning so we fixed a bunch of little hors doeurves to go alongside some pots of hot tea. Here is Mom, Aunt Joan (Amanda's mom), and Nana Shirley (their mom, my grandmother) talking about how they couldn't believe there was another baby on the way!
The spread! So pretty! (And delicious!) :)One of my favorite things...cucumber rounds!
Blueberry scones in the forefront, served with freshly whipped cream and strawberry preserves. Petit fours on the three tiered holder (all homemade by Mom!), baked brie with crostinis in the background...all amazing!
Mini fruit tarts in phyllo shells...
We had quite an assortment of teas!
Everyone got to choose their own tea cup from an assortment that Mom had at her house- so fun!
And here is the guest of honor! One of the prettiest pregnant ladies I've ever seen :).
And here she is practicing on an old baby doll that Nana had given her along with a hand knitted (crocheted?) baby blanket. We were all hoping that she wouldn't handle her baby like she did that doll (grabbing it by the neck, etc.).Later that evening, we took the boys out to Sams for hot dogs (can you tell we spend a lot of time at Sams?!). I got some grins from Adam during supper!
We feed Adam little pieces of hot dog on a fork...between bites, do you see where he stores his fork? This is a hilarious video of the face that Adam was making while he was crunching on his chips!

Here's sweet Caleb sipping on his Lemon Spritzer (Sprite and lemonade mixed together) :)
Both boys wanted to help push the buggy! And here we are resting on the display couch!
