Ahhh...it's Friday! Adam and I had a great morning while Caleb was at preschool. I picked Caleb up and gave each of them a lollipop that Daddy had given them earlier in the week. Can you tell they are enjoying them?

When we got home, what did we have to greet us but a bunch of feathers on the floor (no bird in sight). We scoured the home to find any "remains" (I was secretly hoping one of the boys would NOT find the dead bird.) We were all surprised when I heard a sudden fluttering in the kitchen and saw this in our windowsill!
I wish I could say that the "catch and release" plan had gone accordingly, but alas, it did not. Finally, after about 20 minutes of chasing that home-free bird around, I managed to (gently) trap it in a hand towel and release the tiny fluttering beast outside where it promptly flew into the brush surrounding our property. I'm so glad it was alive! That's enough drama for one day!
