Adam- 3 weeks old!

Adam loves his bath time! He loves having the warm water poured over his belly!

Adam has been sleeping in his pack n play downstairs for the last three weeks so I would not have to go upstairs (where his nursery is) every 2 hours throughout the night. However, yesterday, I needed to clean out some clothes and such in his nursery, so I took him up with me. He slept in his crib for a little while…

…then he woke up and looked around!

Here he is trying out his diaper changing table- look how huge this kid is!

Here he is getting to know Tigger, one of Caleb’s stuffed animals. I like how it looks like he is petting him!

“Hey, buddy. Mind if I lean on ya?”

I put him in his bouncy set, and after listening to him have a conversation with Mr. Butterfly, I found him like this:

He’s not real keen on using a pacifier, but here’s one instance where he has actually kept it in his mouth for more than 10 seconds! I love how he’s snuggling with the little Pooh blanket.

Right now, he’s sleeping about 3 hours at a time (longer at night, shorter in the day). He stays awake more often than not, and even smiles sometimes! He’ll get to meet a lot of people at Nana Shirley’s birthday party this weekend! I’m sure he’ll be a charmer!

Adam- 2 weeks 4 days old

Smiles for Aunt Amanda! I think he was trying out his flirting skills! :)

Here's our sweet boy, trying to run a marathon while sitting still! :) He's staying awake more often (instead of napping, then eating, then napping, etc.). He still has his blue eyes and his hair is a light brown that looks blond in the sunlight. At his 2 week doctor appointment, he weighed in at 11 pounds, 8 ounces (up from 9 lbs. 14 oz. at his 1 week appt.). He's a great eater! Caleb's a big helper. Funny story from the other day---Adam was crying quite loudly while I was changing his diaper (he was also hungry). Caleb started saying "LAA! LAA! LAA!", imitating Caleb's cry. I asked Caleb if he thought Adam was singing, and he nodded. Then, he said, "Make him sing softer, Mommy." HA! Oh, how I wish I could sometimes! Actually, it is pretty rare that he cries. He only cries if he's hungry, dirty, or has gas. Other than that, he's a fairly laidback baby! We are so blessed!

Renovations!

BEFORE: Note the hideous fluorescent light above the island and the over the sink light (but please ignore the messy island).

AFTER: The fluorescent light is GONE and replaced with a beautiful brushed nickel island light. The over the sink light was also replaced with a more modern brushed nickel. Both switches were replaced with cool dimmer switches so we can control the light level.
