Okay, so I have been meaning to post these pictures for some time now...especially considering that we have been back from the beach since May 31st. *sigh* Shame on me. There were so many cute pictures, so I've posted quite a few!! All in all, the beach house was wonderful...three stories, with lots of places to lounge and relax (which didn't occur too much when Caleb was awake-- he certainly kept us on our toes!!). My grandparents on my mom's side came down for 5 days to visit, and we all went to Beaufort, SC (about an hour and a half away) for a day to visit Eric's parents. The guys went on a fishing trip (they left at 6:30am (!!) and got back around 2:30pm), while the girls stayed and played with Caleb. Eric, well, you will just have to see what he caught. *grin* Ah, what else...oh, the weather was wonderful...only one day of rainy weather. Not too hot, though. The water was perfect temperature- I even went out and swam in it for once (I'm usually a sun 'n' sand girl). We found some beautiful shells too! Caleb enjoyed both the sand and the water. We got to kayak a few times, which was a new experience for me. (I can control my husband easier than I could control that kayak though-- lol, just kidding!...well, not about the kayak part) We ate well...that's definitely important. We discovered this fantastic little farmer's market stand called "King's Market" which had tons of fresh veggies and fruits that we definitely enjoyed. Eric and I for our 3rd anniversary (has it already been that long??) went to "The Old Firehouse Restaurant" in a nearby town called Hollywood (cute, huh?) and enjoyed a quiet meal there. Anyway, if I think of any more details, I'll be sure to "re-post" them later! For now, go grab you a snack, and be prepared to look at a lot of pictures!! Enjoy!!
Gosh, these pics are tiny..well, that is Eric and I in the kayaks
Caleb is "bustin' a sag", as we say...

So, Caleb, at the Sea Cow Eatery, dropped his favorite
Nemo toy on the floor. The MANAGER came over and offered
to disinfect it for us. How sweet!
Close-up of the disinfected Nemo on the plate she brought him on.
Caleb thinks Nemo is tasty...wouldn't you?
Family picture!

Sweet picture of Daddy and Caleb
Great picture of Papa and Caleb!
Uncle Ben and Caleb really bonded on this trip...
can't you tell by the look in Caleb's eye?

True quote: "It is unlawful to climb upon, sit upon,
occupy, or damage any groins on the beach."
(found in the Atwood Vacation Guide in our beach house)
What is a "groin", you ask? The dark, pointy things you see
in the picture above. Who knew?
Caleb's private tent. He charges admission, though.
He loved dipping the blue duck in the
bucket of salt water in front of him, and
licking if off. This was his reaction.
My first time kayaking...
sunset at Edisto (this is for you, Amanda and Phillip Skaggs!!)

he will do this for minutes at a time
With Eric's sister, Aunt Angela!

Us on our three year anniversary...
still going strong!
"Figaro! Feeee-gaaaah-rohh!"
Adorable picture...he loves to open and close doors...
repeatedly.
I think he looks good in a hat!
The start of his modeling career...
what a pose!
Proof that duckbill platypuses (platypi?)
exist on Edisto Island.
True Coke fan...takes after his Daddy
He wanted to make sure that he got packed.
Enjoying the sea air!
Probably the cutest picture of him
during the whole trip! We had a baby pool
on the top deck of our house...
He loved sitting in his Nemo chair in the water
The HUGE Cobia that Eric caught!
It was a 30 pounder!! (And good eating too!!)
Eating ice cream sundaes and playing Bingo...
I love old fashioned fun! Who needs Xbox (ahem, except for the
occasional game of Tetris, right?)
Playing with some old fashioned spools that Nana Ollie gave him...
He loves them!
I honestly did not know this picture was being taken...
of course, I was sacked out in the backseat (see Caleb in the mirror?)
on the way back from the beach. Apparently, Uncle Ben took it. Thanks, Ben. :)
Have you missed any meals? Lost track of any children? I know it was a long post, but I appreciate you taking the time to look at it. Hope you enjoyed it! I'll try to post more often!
