Three of the chickens inside the coop
If you look closely through the chicken wire, you can see three
of the chickens on their roost
So, for the Fourth of July, Eric, Caleb and I all went down to Beaufort, SC, to visit with Eric’s parents and sister. We had a blast!! Caleb had a lot of new experiences down there, so I tried to capture them on camera for you.
Here’s Caleb and Grandpa Wayne playing with duck calls! Watch how Caleb “hops” when he “quacks”!
Playing inside his playhouse…peek a boo!
He got just a LITTLE dirty in the garden! He loved playing in the dirt, then wading in the puddles…so everyone knows that DIRT + WATER=….MUD!!
Helping Mimi pick some peppers!
Here is the aforementioned puddle!
Riding back from the garden in his wagon, taking a water break!
Caleb getting to swim in the pond for the first time!
Swimming with Aunt Angela and Mr. Duck!
I think he’s a little too big for his toy wheelbarrow…
Caleb would reach into Grandpa Wayne’s cup of ice water, grab a cube of ice, stick it in his mouth, then stick out his tongue because it was so cold!
Caleb discovered a love for corn on the cob. He ate a total of 1 1/2 ears of corn (3 half ears!). And…we didn’t even have to cut it off for him!
Caleb even gave us all a tour on the golf cart!
Boat ride!
So, each year, my (Emily) family takes a week long beach trip all together. Meaning, Eric, me, Caleb, Mom, Dad, Bennett, Nana and Grandad. We always have a blast! Here are some pictures from this year’s trip! (Grab a snack, it’s a long one)
Here we are, all packed up, about to head out on a four and a half hour trip!
Caleb got to meet a sweet dog names Abby, who allowed him to play fetch with her!
Here he is blowing bubbles with Nana Shirley and Granddad Jim (his great-grandparents)Grandpa Wayne took him on a walk…they kept trading “sticks”!
Uncle Ben (Emily’s brother) and Aunt Angela (Eric’s sister) got to style his hair one morning with Angela’s mousse…he doesn’t know quite what to think!
Mommy and Caleb!
Caleb had a blast in the kayak…don’t worry, the water was only a few inches deep…plus I cropped the picture so you wouldn’t see Eric standing next to the boat.
Awww…going for a romantic stroll with his “lady”, Aunt Angela!
Oops! Now, he has TWO ladies!! What to do, what to do?!
Laughing with Papa!
Chillin’ with Grandma in his tent!
All in all, we had a blast. Sorry it took so long to post a blog on our trip, but I had so many pictures to go through, and couldn’t decide which ones to use. Next year, we’re looking at going to Tybee Island for a change! :)
